The Potsdam Snack Pack Program was launched in November 2016 with the goal of providing healthy snacks to elementary school students on weekends and holidays. Currently, more than 250 students, from the elementary to high school level, receive a minimum of eight snacks and lunch items on the weekends. The program is run by volunteers and relies on cash and food donations from the local community. New Hope Community Church sponsors the program and donations are tax deductible. Volunteers normally meet at New Hope Community Church on Thursdays at 9 a.m. to prepare snack packs.
