Business Description	Built Local. Connected Everywhere. Connecting Communities SLICFiber® connects communities by providing residential and business customers with Internet, telephone, and television services over our state-of-the-art, 100% fiber-optic network. We are proud to serve our friends and neighbors in the same small communities in which we live, work, and play! What's So Great About Fiber? Whether at work or at play, you want your Internet connection to be fast and reliable. Fiber optic was built precisely to deliver symmetrical speed with unmatched dependability. Coaxial cable is a 50-year-old technology, a dirt road that slows down performance. But fiber optic is a frictionless, smooth highway designed for lightspeed! The primary ingredient in fiber optics is sand, making it a sustainable solution, that requires only one-third the energy otherwise needed to manufacture coaxial cable. If that wasn't enough to impress you, fiber optic even works when the electricity is out! What's So Great About Fiber? Everything!
